One can choose any of these since they are all very good and will depend on your budget and whether you desire the latest model with the most recent upgrades. These laptops are sleek and ultra-portable. They can fit in a back pack, briefcase or totes very nicely. In design the changes are not that much from one notebook to another as they are classic for instance; the T450 has the same chassis like its predecessor the T440. A rectangular shape with a raven -black lid color. The lid is made of carbon fiber. It has been designed for resistance and endures high temperature, vibrations, sand, humidity, shocks and other sorts of abuse.
A slight difference may be found from one to another but they are not that profound. Being especially made for business professional one can expect all of them to really include power and efficiency. It will greatly depend on your budget.
Most of the ThinkPad T Series have touchscreen technology the size of the screen varies slightly so it will depend on personal preference. For instance, the T450 has a screen measuring 13 x 8.9 x 0.83 inches and a total weight of 1.7 kilo which on average is not the thinnest or lightest notebook of the Lenovo ThinkPad T Series, but is svelte enough to be carried with ease anywhere. You can also choose the same model with regular display instead of touchscreen. The 14” screen T450S is lighter and thinner but comes at a higher price. Obviously there are the other models The T460s which are newer and understandably more expensive. Lenovo touch screen is very sharp with the lowest screen resolution being 1,980 x 1,080. This gives colorful pictures, and watching the most advanced trailers a very nice experience. In all, the display provides 100.8 % of sRBG gamut meaning that significantly sharper than an average notebook. Brightness at 236 nits is almost average (242 nits). The touchscreen has a quick response when touched. The digitizers are able to support 10 points of touches giving the possibility to perform multi-touch gestures and even draw with 10 fingers simultaneously. The touch-friendly screen facilitates undertaking various actions quickly and is a very nice addition.
The ThinkPad T Series include a keyboard has very responsive keys that are quite nicely spaced and do not make any noise when typing. This makes typing easy and comfortable and avoids many adjacent mistakes. The keyboard includes a two-mode backlight which can illuminate it. Similar to other ThinkPad’s, included is a touchpad and a TrackPoint. They work with precision. The TrackPoint has a left, right and center button. With the touch pad, you have very smooth navigation around the desktop. Different types of touches such as pinch-to-zoom, multi-touch gestures, or two fingers rotate are registered with accuracy.
The audio cannot be said as the best but it is high enough to resonate in a very large room. It is good to even dance without adding loud speakers or other accessories. The sounds can be enhanced with Dolby Digital Plus audio software which allows to choose various profiles or customize the equalizers.
A 720p webcam provide excellent pictures and quite detailed. A dual-array microphone is exactly what a business person would appreciate for providing business video conferences. It can be optimized for either single conversations or multi-voice. The T series have a touch-friendly application setting for controlling power, wireless, audio, track-point/touchpad and other configurations. Another great feature is that it is possible to use a smartphone as a remote control. This allows you to play media, type into fields, or even move the pointer. As noted all ThinkPad T Series are quite advanced and will perform without issues any activity. Personal preference and budget will greatly determine which one to choose but for a general idea let’s look at the T450 which does not have the highest performance capabilities among the others notably the T40 series. It includes 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of SSD and is powered by a 2.3GHz Intel core i5-5300U. This makes powerful enough to be able to undertake all types of tasks including the most demanding. It has an average download speed of 149.7 Mbps and will complete file transfers in seconds. As noted it’s not the best performing among the T range but does provide a general idea as of what to expect. The T460 for example uses an Intel core i5 6100 processor but you can also obtain the same model with an Intel core i7-6600. All these are 6th generation Intel core.
The T450 notebook has an integrated Intel HD 5,500 graphic processor while the T460 an Intel HD 520. All these are quite good for serious productivity and gaming. With the default setting the T450 offers 36 fps in 1080p resolution which is considerably better than most notebooks of the same category.
The battery cage is found on the bottom and will provide you with 15 hours’ duration on average, more or less depending on which ThinkPad T Series you choose. That is enough to get you through a long international flight going from Hong Kong to New York. Taking into consideration that touchscreen drains more battery power, the non-touch versions of the ThinkPad T Series last even longer.
